Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2005

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) is organizing the great extravaganza of Nepalese Football- Martyr's Memorial San Miguel "A" Division League Football tournament from August 26 at Dasrath Football Stadium and Chyshal Football ground.

Every year, San Miguel Beer will provide 2.5 million Nepalese Rupees to ANFA for the sponsorship while Surya Nepal has contributed one million rupees for this tournament. "We are heading for the quality football and hopefully we can cross the bar within the short time to achieve success alike other Asian bigwigs, says ANFA Prez Ganesh Thapa, "It is also the largest sum of sponsorship and prize imbursement to the team in the Nepalese football history". He further added, "The League winner will now be playing in the AFC President Cup which is a big boost for any team after winning National League".

One Million Rupees
"Prizes are the factors of rise" Yes of-course, this time, League Champion will grab one million Nepalese Ruppes and can be headed towards professionalism track. Yet, Runner-up team will also grab seven lakhs while 2nd runner-up will get five lakhs. ANFA has also decided to give away prize money to top-listed teams up-to eight position. Forth position team will walk away with 3 lakhs while fifth position team will get 2 lakhs. One lakh for sixth, 50,000 each for Seventh and Eight position teams. ANFA will provide 50,000 Nepalese Rupees for Fair play team.

Preparation Money
ANFA has doubled the preparation money as compare to previous year. ANFA had distributed 75,000 Rupees in previous year while the money has been doubled this year to 150 thousands.

Insurance for Players and Referees
ANFA has arranged Insurance facility for all 15 "A" Division team with 25 people each (375) and for 25 referees for a whole year. This is undoubtedly the first in the Nepalese football or in Nepalese sports. Himalayan General Insurance will provide Insurance money to players and referees. "Insurance company will pay minimum 25,000 rupees to victim seeing the injury condition" ANFA President Ganesh Thapa alleged in front of Sports Journalist.

Six Motorbikes and CAR
"Car Chadne Rahar Cha" Now, ANFA will fulfill your desire if you adjudge most valuable player in the league. ANFA has added this bumper prize to that player who will come with his utmost caliber. "We are negotiating with many car companies for the new/latest brand but we have already decided- we are going to provide CAR for most valuable player. Meanwhile, ANFA will provide six motorbikes for best goalkeeper, Defense, mid-field, forward, best scorer and best coach of the league.

210 games!
The double league system will take at least five months to complete and each team should play 28 games and all-together 210 matches will be played inside the Kathmandu. Everyday two matches will be played, according to ANFA, who organized press conference today at ANFA Complex, Satdobato. The two teams from the last will relegate to "B" Division.

Prize money will be doubled next year
ANFA President has revealed that ANFA will increase the prize money to two million rupees next year.

Nepal T.V to broadcast high profile matches
As per as T.V rights signing between ANFA and NTV, NTV will broadcast few high profile matches for its valuable viewers and to football enthusiast.
The total estimated budget of the league counts Eight million Nepalese Rupees. In all, 15 teams- 12 "A" Division Clubs, three Deparmental teams of Mahendra Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club and newly joined Gyanendra Armed Police Force- will take part in the tournament. Machhindra Bahal Club and Boudha Youth Club will make their debut after being promoted to "A" Division this year.
