The new revolution in Nepalese football !
A silent revolution is unfolding in Nepal with media doing to Nepalese football have achieved so many in their respective fields with matches played- and covered in extensive detail- everyday, football literacy has spread rapidly across the country.
People talk excitedly about the IT revolution, credit card consumerism, growth of Malls/ cine multi complex, growth of satellite channels, cell phones all these are profound social changes, all have altered our lives to a degree. So has increased football literacy because this more than anything else makes Nepal a genuine football developing country. Sponsors are setting aside millions of their advertisement budgets knowing well the country has an enormous and enlarging pool of football addicts.
The time now, HIMALAYAN BANK is riding a crest these days, becoming the first Nepalese Bank to host challenging International tournament. To host International tournament as a sponsor is itself a hard job but football dedicating HIMALYAN BANK has decided to go into deep rooted way for three years. The tournament, as far as we can say SAARC tournament, after participation of club from India, Bhutan and Bangladesh. It remains to see how football lovers will welcome the step of HIMALAYAN BANK as HIMALYAN BANK CUP.
